Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Beer Shop

Micro-pub almost directly opposite the Samuel Peto 'spoons, with light but plain decoration and six tables (each in a different style). However, the focus is mainly on craft keg beers (with nine available from the 12 bar-back taps on my visit) and takeaway cans / bottles, with the Sonoma pale from Track (£5.10) being the only cask ale available.

A fairly new micropub located right opposite the JDW in Rendezvous Street. A small (possibly half) shop conversion with tables at each side of the room and a bar, plus a single fridge) at the the back.
Serving cask and craft plus ciders on draft and some bottles and cans. Drink in or take away. Cold snacks available.
It was busy on my visit but I managed to grab a stool at the bar and had a couple of local cask ales.
They close on Mondays and Tuesdays and I suggest you check opening times benfore visiting, although there are many other similar places nearby.
